Basketball Game Preview: New Deal Lions vs. Olton Mustangs

The New Deal Lions will face off against the Olton Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Deal has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Olton will come in with ten straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when New Deal duked it out with Follett on Friday. The game between New Deal and Follett didn't end well, with New Deal falling 54-40.

Meanwhile, Olton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gruver on Friday, but they still walked away with a 40-36 win. The 40-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

New Deal's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Olton, their victory bumped their record up to 26-4.

New Deal was taken down by Olton 64-32 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point New Deal was down 39-12.
