Volleyball Recap: Castle View Falls Despite Big Games from Kate Erickson and Bradli Brown + How To Watch

Castle View was the 3-0 winner over Arvada West when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sabercats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Sabercats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Castle View ultimately came up short, they really made Arvada West work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, 27-25.

Bradli Brown and Kate Erickson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Brown had 11 digs and three assists, while Erickson had four digs and three aces. Brown is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Castle View's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Arvada West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Castle View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Centaurus on the 1st. As for Arvada West, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fountain-Fort Carson at 11:00 a.m. on the 8th.
