Basketball Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Takes a Loss

McKinney Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covenant Knights. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

McKinney Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Covenant, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

McKinney Christian Academy and Covenant could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. McKinney Christian Academy (ranked 1333rd) will meet Coram Deo Academy (ranked 260th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Covenant will take on First Baptist at 1:00 p.m. on December 21st down 926 places (1159 vs. 233).
