Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ella Prater and Elizabeth Snyder Lead Leesburg to Victory

There's no place like home for Leesburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Belleview Rattlers on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: Belleview scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Leading Leesburg to victory were Elizabeth Snyder and Ella Prater. Snyder had 22 digs and four aces, while Prater had five kills, three aces, and two blocks. Prater is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Valentina Borts, who had 11 digs, ten kills, and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Leesburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Leesburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Belleview, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rattlers beat Leesburg by a score of 3-2 on Monday.
