Preview: Boonton Bombers vs. Kittatinny Regional Cougars
The Boonton Bombers will head out on the road to face off against the Kittatinny Regional Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Boonton is ranked 220th, while Kittatinny Regional is ranked 229th).
Boonton fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Newark Collegiate Academy 29-26.
Boonton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Cabalar out in front who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Boonton also got a significant boost from Sylas White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 124 yards.
Meanwhile, Kittatinny Regional was able to grind out a solid victory over Whippany Park on Friday, taking the game 21-11. Winning may never get old, but Kittatinny Regional sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Their wins bumped Boonton to 4-6 and Kittatinny Regional to 4-5.
