Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Excel

Excel entered their tilt with Monroe County on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Monroe County Tigers 20-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-1 on Thursday.

Excel got a massive performance out of RJ Shamburger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Shamburger a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Mattox Dailey, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Excel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Excel's record now sits at 6-11. As for Monroe County, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
