Football Recap: Newaygo Takes a Loss

Newaygo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Reed City Coyotes 55-6. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Coyotes are ranked 94th).

Newaygo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Reed City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Newaygo will venture away from home to face off against North Muskegon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Reed City, they will face off against Hopkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
