Volleyball Recap: Clinton's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

If Powell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Clinton, they should've done a better job of containing Josie Moody. The Dragons blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Moody, who had 20 digs, 11 kills, and two blocks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 11 digs per game.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-9, 26-24.

The win (which was Clinton's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. As for Powell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will host Bledsoe County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Powell, they will welcome Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
