Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. Horn Jaguars

The Cedar Hill Longhorns will head out to take on the Horn Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Horn likes a good challenge.

Cedar Hill took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against DeSoto by a score of 80-67.

Meanwhile, Horn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Duncanville. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Panthers and Pantherettes are ranked 19th).

Cedar Hill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Horn, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Cedar Hill couldn't quite finish off Horn in their previous meeting back in January and fell 52-49. Can Cedar Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
