Basketball Game Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Pamlico County Hurricanes

Jones is 0-10 against Pamlico County since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Jones Trojans will take on the Pamlico County Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Jones is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Thursday. They had to suffer through an 83-28 loss at the hands of Lejeune. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 698th, while the Devil Pups are ranked 318th).

Meanwhile, Pamlico County lost to Southside at home by a 58-39 margin on Thursday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pamlico County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-20.

Jones came up short against Pamlico County when the teams last played last Friday, falling 56-45. Can Jones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
