Baseball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 10-10 to make it four. They fell just short of the Bear River Bruins by a score of 11-10. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bruins earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Blake Arteaga was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Austin Liden was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Bear River, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this match were averaging 3.91 runs allowed.

On Bear River's side, Cooper Lunsford was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Lunsford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Nicholls, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

As of now, neither Colfax nor Bear River have any future games scheduled.
