Volleyball Recap: Cypress Springs Comes Up Short

Cypress Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Tomball Memorial Wildcats. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tomball Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keira Pierce, who had seven assists and three aces. That's the most aces Pierce has posted since back in September of 2024.

Cypress Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tomball Memorial, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Cypress Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Klein on the 14th. As for Tomball Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Bellville on the 14th.
