Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Lockport Porters

The Plainfield North Tigers will face off against the Lockport Porters at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plainfield North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Lincoln-Way Central 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Plainfield North who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 18-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Lockport beat Romeoville 2-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Porters in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

Lockport's record is now 29-7. As for Plainfield North, the win got them back to even at 15-15.

Plainfield North came up short against Lockport in their previous matchup back in August of 2022, falling 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
