Volleyball Recap: Sugar-Salem Comes Up Short

Sugar-Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Butte County Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Diggers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11.

Sugar-Salem's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Butte County, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Sugar-Salem will challenge Teton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butte County, they will take on Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
