Softball Recap: Mountlake Terrace Hawks vs. Snohomish Panthers        
        
		
            
 If Mountlake Terrace was feeling good  off their  12-4 takedown of Lynnwood last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mountlake Terrace Hawks suffered a  tough 14-1 loss at the hands of the Snohomish Panthers  on Monday. Mountlake Terrace has not had much luck with Snohomish recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
 For Snohomish's part,  Abby Edwards made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Edwards has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Edwards was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Camryn Sage was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.  Hannah Siegler was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs.
 Mountlake Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Snohomish, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record  this season.
 Mountlake Terrace will head out on the road to  face off against  Cedarcrest at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cedarcrest is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.9  runs per game this season. As for Snohomish, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Edmonds-Woodway at 4:00  p.m. Snohomish is facing Edmonds-Woodway at the right time seeing as Edmonds-Woodway is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
