Softball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Comes Up Short

Collierville hit Briarcrest Christian with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints lost 15-5 to the Dragons. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Lily Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Grace Gleason was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Briarcrest Christian's record is now 5-19. As for Collierville, their win bumped their record up to 13-10-1.

Looking ahead, Briarcrest Christian will challenge Munford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Collierville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
