Van Buren entered their tilt with Lake Hamilton on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 36-7 victory over the Wolves. The Pointers pushed the score to 30-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves had little chance of recovering from.

Van Buren's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayden Williford led the charge by throwing for 284 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. The dominant performance also gave Williford a new career-high in passer rating (158.1). Austin Riggs also helped out with an impressive 149 receiving yards.

Van Buren didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Lake Hamilton to a completion percentage of just 50%. The Pointers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 75%.

Van Buren's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Lake Hamilton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Van Buren will take on Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pointers will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lake Hamilton, they will challenge Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
