Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tre Keith and Sean Vandorn Lead Tri-Cities to Victory

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Tri-Cities took down Decatur 66-49. Tri-Cities hasn't had any issues with Decatur recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Tri-Cities was led to victory by Sean Vandorn and Tre Keith. Vandorn went 12-for-19 to rack up 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Keith went 7-for-9 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. The contest was Vandorn's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Jalan Wingfield was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 13 boards.

Tri-Cities smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Decatur still got an impressive performance from Jason Welborn, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points. Welborn has been hot, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Wright, who posted eight points.

Tri-Cities' win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Decatur, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

Tri-Cities didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-80 loss against Woodward Academy on the 15th. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 36-33 victory against Shiloh on the 15th.
