The Marshall Barristers will square off against the Wilson Mules at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Marshall's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over Bravo. The win continues a trend for the Barristers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Torres, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Marshall hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Wilson came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mules have posted since February 22nd.
Diego Gomez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arturo Millan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Wilson pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 11-12.
Marshall came up short against Wilson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 12-8. Can the Barristers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
