Basketball Recap: Benzie Central Takes a Loss

Benzie Central played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 65-44 to the Glen Lake Lakers. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Lakers are ranked 42nd).

Jacob Plamondon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Glen Lake, almost dropping a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Plamondon is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tobiah Bradford, who posted 11 points.

Benzie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Glen Lake, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Benzie Central will face off against Onekama at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Onekama will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Benzie Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glen Lake, they will take on Brethren at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glen Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.1 points per game this season.
