Basketball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Comes Up Short

Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins 52-14. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent loss being a 61-12 defeat two weeks ago.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Coming up, Metro-East Lutheran and Maryville Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they will face off against Altamont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
