Basketball Recap: Roma Gladiators vs. Nixon Mustangs
Roma lost against Nixon back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Roma Gladiators received a blow as they fell 49-31 to the Nixon Mustangs. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Perhaps the best among those players was Ayssa Rios, who earned three points plus 11 rebounds and four steals. What's more, Rios also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November. Another player making a difference was Samantha Montemayor, who had ten points along with five rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Veronica Solalinde, who earned 14 points. Edilynn Chavarria was another key player, posting nine points.
Roma now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Nixon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roma has already played their next contest (against Nixon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Nixon, they will square off against Palmview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
