Volleyball Game Preview: North Duplin Rebels vs. Hobbton Wildcats + How To Watch

North Duplin is 8-2 against Hobbton since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While North Duplin's victory against East Bladen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since September 12, 2024.

North Duplin was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 15-9.

North Duplin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Davis, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Davis a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Hobbton waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1.

While Hobbton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rosewood scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.

North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Hobbton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
