Softball Recap: Desert Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lucerne Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Christian). They were the clear victor by a 29-19 margin over the Lucerne Valley Mustangs on Wednesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Desert Christian picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Lucerne Valley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Desert Christian will square off against Palmdale Academy Charter School at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Christian has given up an average of 16.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Lucerne Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Silver Valley at 3:15 p.m. on April 1st.
