It's playoff time, and Lake Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Holy Name Green Wave by a score of 3-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won seven in a row.

Not much got past Patrick Radigan, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Holy Name off the board. Radigan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, A.J. Trobenter was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Pete Malchesky was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Lake Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Holy Name, they moved to 14-14 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Lake Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Walsh Jesuit on the 31st. Holy Name does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
