Softball Recap: Bardstown Takes a Loss

Bardstown extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 4-10 in the process. They came up short against the Washington County Commanders, falling 21-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Commanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Tuesday.

As for Washington County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-16. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games.

For Washington County's part, Izzy Medley was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave Medley a new career-high. Marlee Tennill was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases and four runs.

Bardstown has already played their next game (against Thomas Nelson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Washington County also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Danville.
