Football Game Preview: Gentry Pioneers vs. Huntsville Eagles

The Gentry Pioneers will square off against the Huntsville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gentry will be strutting in after a victory while Huntsville will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Gentry humbled Green Forest with a 44-9 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

Talan Williams was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 38 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those 38 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Huntsville took a blow against Gravette on Friday, falling 55-7. The Eagles have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Huntsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gentry, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Gentry against Huntsville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-0 win. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
