Baseball Recap: Highland Rams vs. Olympus Titans

Highland had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 1-20 to make it 16. They lost 13-1 to the Olympus Titans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 19-2 loss on Wednesday.

Joshua Zandberg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season.

As for Olympus, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-7. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

On Olympus' side, Max Rice looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, Rice posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Josh Stohl, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of CADE FELTS, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against West on the 5th. As for Olympus, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-0 victory against East on the 3rd.
