Football Recap: Kendall Jackson and James 'Jimbo' Smith Secure Win for Cheltenham

Cheltenham lost to Neshaminy back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Skins by a score of 38-29.

A big part of Cheltenham's victory came down to the chemistry between Kendall Jackson and his top target James 'Jimbo' Smith. Jackson threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns while 'Jimbo' Smith rushed for 126 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Neshaminy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Eckart, who rushed for 74 yards and one score, and also threw for 169 yards and a pair of TDs. Carter Clee was another key rusher, rushing for 84 yards and one touchdown.

Cheltenham's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Neshaminy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Cheltenham and Neshaminy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to take on their familiar foe Council Rock South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Neshaminy will square off against rival North Penn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
