Softball Game Preview: Murray Tigers vs. Carlisle County Comets

The Murray Tigers will challenge the Carlisle County Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Murray has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Hopkins County Central hit Murray with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Storm, falling 12-2.

Murray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maylen Darnell, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Mya Brown was another, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carlisle County got themselves on the board against Christian Fellowship on Thursday, but Christian Fellowship never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Eagles. The Comets have beaten the Eagles the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Carlisle County's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
