Baseball Game Preview: Santiam Christian Eagles vs. Prospect Ridge Academy Miners

The Santiam Christian Eagles will face off against the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Santiam Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Wellington, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Santiam Christian has posted since April 9, 2024.

Santiam Christian got a great performance from Jakob Modin as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Justin Oberfoell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

Meanwhile, Prospect Ridge Academy had just enough and edged out Weld Central 5-4 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Josiah Bote was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiac Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Santiam Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their record is now 2-0.
