Basketball Recap: M.L. King Takes a Loss

M.L. King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 72-27 defeat at the hands of the Pace Academy Knights. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, M.L. King saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Calvin Everhart Iii posted seven points.

M.L. King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pace Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

M.L. King will challenge Drew at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-71 win against Peachtree Ridge on the 7th.
