Tompkins extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday, bumping them up to 26-5. They blew past the Katy Taylor Mustangs 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in August.

Among those leading the charge was Lainey Monroe, who had 16 digs and three assists.

Tompkins was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive games.

As for Katy Taylor, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 11, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Katy Taylor lost, don't look at Sydney Herleth. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs. Herleth has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.
