Escondido was not able to secure the win in their season-opener on Thursday. They and the Classical Academy Caimans finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. Escondido had to tread lightly for part of the match as three Escondido players were handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Their goal came courtesy of David Ortiz.

Classical Academy's draw makes their record 0-0-2 this season.

Escondido and Classical Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Cougars see the pitch they'll take on Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. As for Classical Academy, their break will end when they face Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
