Baseball Game Preview: University Prep Panthers vs. Central Valley Falcons

For the second straight game, University Prep will face off against Central Valley. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. University Prep is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Central Valley's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: University Prep hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Panthers never let the Falcons get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Luca Snell was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Waylon Stripling, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

University Prep's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Central Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
