Softball Recap: Cobleskill-Richmondville Wins Going Away Against Middleburgh

After only one run in their last game, Cobleskill-Richmondville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Middleburgh on Wednesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 34-4 win.

Danica Palmer and Ally Palmer made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Palmer pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Ally pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Palmer got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double, while Ally got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave Ally a new career-high.

In other batting news, Cobleskill-Richmondville got a massive performance out of Ryleigh Briggs, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, eight RBI, and five runs. Those eight RBI gave Briggs a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alli Prezorski, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with six runs and six RBI.

Cobleskill-Richmondville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Middleburgh, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
