Basketball Recap: Damien Has No Trouble Against Venice + How To Watch

Damien was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Venice on Saturday. The Spartans blew past the Gondoliers 65-42.

Zaire Rasshan went supernova, putting up 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Garner, who posted nine points and six boards.

Venice's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ajonn Mitchell, who earned ten points and five rebounds, and Aiden Charron, who scored 14 points. Mitchell is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Damien's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Venice, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Damien will face off against Charter Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Venice, they will welcome San Pedro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
