Recap: Spearman Lynx vs. Wink Wildcats
On Saturday, Spearman really took it to Wink for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-15 victory on the road. Given Spearman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Wink is ranked 730th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Wink still got an impressive performance from Aizlyn Dewberry, who scored 8 points along with 14 rebounds. Dewberry scored a full 53.3% of Wink's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Spearman's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wink, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Spearman's road trip will continue as they head out to face Valley at 4:45 p.m. on December 7th. As for Wink, they will square off against Reagan County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reagan County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
