Baseball Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

Pleasant Grove was the 4-3 winner over Southeastern when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pleasant Grove Spartans took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeastern Mustangs on Tuesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zion Barney made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Pleasant Grove now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Southeastern, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Looking ahead, Pleasant Grove will challenge Wenonah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeastern, they will square off against Oakman at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
