Football Recap: Xavier Falcons vs. Manchester Red Hawks
Xavier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell to the Manchester Red Hawks 27-21.
Manchester had a senior duo take command as Emanuel Sampel threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes and Joe Mugovero picked up 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Mugovero torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards. Another player making a difference was Darrol Young, who picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Xavier's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Manchester, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
