Football Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton fought the good fight in their overtime match against Kingfisher on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 35-28 to the Yellowjackets. The Red Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The critical scores for Kingfisher came from Kasen Blair, Brett Calamateo, Jackson Willbanks, and Jhett Birdwell.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kingfisher, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Clinton will head out to square off against Chandler at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Kingfisher, they will face off against Bridge Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
