Football Recap: Jason Condo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Camp Hill

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Juniata). They took down the Camp Hill Lions 27-10 on Friday. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Juniata to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jason Condo, who rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 42 yards and one TD. Those 31 rushing yards gave Condo a new career-high. Isaac Ramirez was in the mix too, providing Juniata with two scores.

Juniata's run defense was locked in: Camp Hill could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. While three picked up at least eight total tackles, Ramirez stood above the rest. He rushed for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Juniata's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.

Juniata's defense didn't let Colby Luther., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ramirez, Quentin Houtz, and Bryce Harlon, who each picked up one sack apiece.

The victory made it two in a row for Juniata and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Camp Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Juniata has already played their next game, a 48-0 victory against Susquenita on the 26th. As for Camp Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 49-13 loss against Halifax on the 26th.
