For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Waltrip and Carnegie Vanguard meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Rams never let the Rhinos get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Waltrip also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Waltrip's win bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waltrip is set to face off against their familiar foe Sterling at 10:00 a.m. on February 7. Meanwhile, Carnegie Vanguard will challenge rival Sharpstown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
