Soccer Game Preview: Papillion-LaVista South vs. Lexington

The Papillion-LaVista South Titans will face off against the Lexington Minutemen at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Papillion-LaVista South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

While Papillion-LaVista South's victory against Buena Vista wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bison 2-1. Morgan Macke had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Papillion-LaVista South.

Meanwhile, Lexington faced Schuyler in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Minutemen fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. Lexington's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Papillion-LaVista South, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Papillion-LaVista South beat Lexington 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Minutemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
