Basketball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers

Two dominant forwards in Tristyn Carrington and Paul Bishop are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Daniel Lions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Daniel is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Travelers Rest: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Daniel blew Travelers Rest out of the water with a 77-43 final score. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Blue Ridge ended up a good deal behind Berea on Friday and lost 73-59.

Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for Blue Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.

Daniel was able to grind out a solid win over Blue Ridge in their previous meeting back in January, winning 62-55. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Blue Ridge's Ty'Korian Campbell, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards.
