Baseball Game Preview: Attica Blue Devils vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Attica Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Attica comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Attica's last matchup with Oakfield-Alabama could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Blue Devils lost 12-2 to the Hornets.

Meanwhile, while Notre Dame put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Byron-Bergen. The Fighting Irish walked away with a 3-0 win over the Bees. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Fighting Irish.

Chase Antinore was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Antinore wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Finn Davies, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Notre Dame now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Attica, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Attica might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Notre Dame when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
