Lake Forest lost against Mundelein back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Scouts fell 2-0 to the Mustangs. The Scouts' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-25. As for Mundelein, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Forest will head out to take on Glenbrook North at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The Scouts are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mundelein, they will venture away from home to face off against Grayslake Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
