Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Vikings vs. Contra Costa Christian Cougars

The Valley Christian Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Contra Costa Christian Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were outmatched by Lowell and fell 71-19.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Contra Costa Christian finally came back down to earth two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a 65-27 loss at the hands of Eastside College Prep. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Contra Costa Christian, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Valley Christian took a serious blow against Contra Costa Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 77-40. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Valley Christian was down 38-17.
