Baseball Game Preview: North Forrest Eagles vs. Stringer Red Devils + Official Tickets

North Forrest is 0-4 against Stringer since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. North Forrest is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

While North Forrest's victory against Quitman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles skirted past the Panthers 5-4.

Jordyn Barnes made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chance Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for North Forrest: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Landon Hayes was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Stringer wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

North Forrest's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Stringer, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
