Softball Recap: Destrehan Wildcats vs. Fisher Gators

While Destrehan's victory against Fisher wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Gators on Tuesday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

Jolie Lozano was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Burkett was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run. Callie Bordelon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
